I've been back in school for 2 weeks now. I'm starting to settle into my schedule. It's not the best schedule, considering I have an 8am class, but it could be worse. Most of my professors are interesting, with the exception of my finance prof. He has one of the most annoying, squirrely voices and he makes everything so incredibly boring. Even though I only have to sit in class an hour and 15 mins two times a week, I want to shoot myself in the face every time. =/

I am a buddy to one of the international students in the business college. His name is Clement, and he's from France. He seems really cool, hopefully I will be able to help him around the city while he's here and show him some cool things.

I'm going to my 2nd Bengals game of the season. It's another Monday night game, this time against the Patriots. I'm a little torn on this one. So far we have won only one game, and lost the last two against Cleveland and Seattle. Everyone was talking so much about them before the season, I think they expected way too much. But, maybe they will suprise everyone and bring their 'A' game. Either way I'll be decked out in my Bengals gear and cheering them on!

It's been a while. I'm not really sure what to say. I'd like to start using this more often. I always feel like I have so many things to say, but when I try and write something, I draw a blank.

Life is not too bad right now. I've done a lot of figuring things out this past year. I finally know what I want to do with my life and I feel like I'm in a good place. I'm nearing the end of school, I'll be graduating next December if everything works out right. I'm also planning a trip to France for 6 weeks next summer. I am really excited about that. I've never been to Europe and it's someplace I've always wanted to do. I'm even going to get to go to Wimbledon for a weekend, which is a dream of mine.

I also got to go to the Bengals Monday Night opener against the Ravens. It was quite an exciting game. I can't say it's the best they've ever played, but the atmosphere was amazing and it felt really good to be back there. It really put me in the football spirit and I'm ready for this season. =)

I'm going to keep this short for now. My cat is sitting here on my lap and it's making it hard to type. She's so cute though! I can't make her move. =)

Well I guess it's been quite a while. Here I am starting another year at school. Lots has changed. I've switched majors, I've moved. I don't know how I could really summarize my last 9 months or so. I had a rough winter quarter. I ended up dropping a few classes and decided I didn't want to be an engineer anymore. (for real this time). So now I'm in Industrial Management. Yep, I'm sure you got the same confused look on your face that everyone else makes when I say that. No, I'm not going to explain what industrial management is, I'm not really 100% sure myself. =)

So, after that I went back to work for my co-op job at Cinergy. Cinergy ended up merging with Duke Energy about a month after I started back there fulltime. It was a pretty interesting 6 months. I got to work in a different department which was nice. I also got to fly out to the Duke headquarters in Charlotte, and was totally awesome.

So fast forward to September and I moved into my new apartment. I'm living with 2 other girls, Anne and LeAnne. I've known Anne for a few years since we co-oped together at Cinergy. LeAnne was Anne's roommate before so that's how I met her. Oh yeah...Anne got back from Germany 2 weeks ago so that was nice to finally see her again after 6 months!

So...I think that's it for now. I need to get to sleep!

Classes started back up yesterday. It's been a little rough adjusting to the schedule. I've been getting barely any sleep the past few nights, but hopefully it'll all catch up soon. So far I think this quarter will go well. I've got a few tough classes: Computer Organization and Network Systems Programming. Both seem to have a lot of work to be done outside the classroom on projects and programs. That kind of stuff always takes me a little longer than most people cause I just don't do programming very well.

Other than that I'm taking a Networking class. I should do fine in there as long as I stay up on the work we're doing. I also have a Prob & Stats II class. Seems like another fairly simple class. Show up, do work, get a good grade kinda deal. I have a European History 1500-1800 class as well. The professor for this class seems awesome. It's always nice when you get a professor who actually seems to care about the students and presents the material in a way that's not mind-numbing and boring. He's also got a cool british accent so I should be able to stay awake easily there. =) My last class is one that's required for engineering. It's a professional development class that I'll be developing a nice resume in. Also learning a little bit more about what to expect once I graduate. It only meets once a week for an hour, so the workload shouldn't be too bad. The professor is extremely boring though.

I guess I should go do some readings for classes tomorrow. Laters! =)

I feel like I've been really lazy lately. I've been doing a lot of personal things, cleaning, etc. But that fact that I really haven't been working as much as I should over break just makes me feel like I'm not doing anything. Sometimes you just need a break though. There's not a lot for me to do at work this time of year. Half the people there were on vacation last week and this week, so I can't go looking for work from many people either. I just hate sitting there doing nothing. I know, why don't I just go in and do nothing and get paid for it. But it's so damn boring. Sitting around for 8 hours with nothing to do feels more like 20 hours. I just can't make myself do it. ::sigh::

It's hard to believe that I start class again next tuesday. Has it really been 3 weeks already? It doesn't seem like it. I hope this quarter goes well. I really did great last quarter and I want to continue to do that. Last year was a wreck and I really need to make up for that. My mom seems to understand and has no problem with the fact that I'm taking an extra year to finish school, but my did didn't seem to understand. In the long run, what's 1 extra year of class compared to my lifetime? Nothing...but he just doesn't get it. Sometimes I feel like he thinks I'm this perfect person with no problems, and I feel like a failure cause I'm not perfect. Far from it. I just don't now how to talk to him about that.

Well this post seems really random. I need to clean my place again. After Xmas I just sorta threw all my stuff into a pile and well...it's still there. I sorta went through it all, opened everything. So now I have a pile of stuff and a pile of all the packaging and boxes. I just don't feel like being organized at the moment. =)

Last week was pretty eventful. I just got all my pictures up so I figured I'd post some.

Now finals are over and I'm working some to get some extra money for the holidays. I'm just glad things worked out and I have a car that's going to be reliable for the next few years. =)

On my lunch break at the moment, so I thought I'd write a little. This weekend I am going on a "vacation". I use the word vacation only because it's the closest thing to a vacation I've had in like 5 years. I'm taking Friday-Monday and driving down to Atlanta to visit some of my family. The original plan was to go with my sister, but things came up and she couldn't come. Then, I was going to have my grandma drive down with me, but she doesn't want to come for some reason. So...looks like I'll be driving down by myself. It's only about 7 hour drive, so it shouldn't be too bad. Also, I haven't been out of the state in forever. (I'm not talking about a 10 minute drive down into KY or IN!!) The last time I left the state was 2 years ago. WAY TOO LONG to be stuck here, IMO. So, I'm really looking forward to a few days off work and a nice relaxing weekend.

Oh, when I get home I will have to post some pictures of the 6 kittens that are currently living in my basement. They are the cutest things ever!! If you know anyone who wants a kitten, please let me know. They are so adorable and I don't want to let any of them go without a home. =(

PS...I want to go home!! =)

I'm not sure how to describe what just happened. I just read something so powerful that it put me into tears. I don't know what else to say.

Oh...I heart tennis. I had forgotten why I loved it so much until I just recently started playing again. Today was awesome, feels so great to be out playing again. Rawr!

So...the website is still down. I'm still not sure why. All that hard work making a new layout and then the site goes down a week later...

Anyway, I will begin looking for a new place to call home. If I had the money, I'd by my own domain, but I really don't have the money for that atm. If anyone has room for my site (I travel lightly!), please let me know. I have a place I can use to store most of my pictures, so I really just need a little space to call home. =)

In other news...I finally got to move to my own cube at work. The area I was sitting at was in a room with 10 other people sharing 8-foot folding tables. This was because of the remodeling that was going on. I was in that room for 3 months. OMG sometimes it was horrible. All those people in that small room, no privacy. Sometimes it was enough to drive you insane. So, you can see how happy I am to finally have my cube back (and all new too!).

Only 45 minutes and I can sneak out of here. Today has been really boring due to the fact that my boss has been on vacation for 2 days and I've run out of things to do. I'm not complaining about that, it's nice to have a break. But it does make the day go by very slow when I can't really do anything.

No plans for the weekend yet, but Bewitched comes out today so I'm going to try and get a few friends to gether and see that. I love Nicole Kidman, she's such an awesome person. I heard some kinda bad reviews, but I hope they are wrong. =) Well...I think I've rambled on enough for now.

Yes, I've been neglecting this page. I tend to go through phases where I use it a lot, then none, and so on. The reason for this post, my website (http://kandy.net/meow) is down. It's been down 2 days, not sure why yet. So for now, this is where I'll vent. Maybe I'll even give it a new look. =)

I've reached that point in the quarter where I'm just really sick of school and can't wait till exams are over and I get that week off to just sit and do nothing. =) Only 3.5 weeks left. I hope I can make it. I've been so deprived of sleep lately!

In other news, I got a new nifty camera this past weekend. It's such an awesome camera. It's so small and cute and I really like it. =) Lemme see if I can find a decent pic of it...
